Bob attended a meeting today (2-15-13) run by the Recreational Advisory Panel for the New England Fishery Management Council.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the potential reacreational measures for FY 2013.  Based on current data, the council is proposing the following measures:

9 Cod @ 19" per person

Unlimited catch on haddock @ 21" per person

Since the recreational fisheries did not catch their allocated pounds this past season, there is a possibility of having an extended season this year.  We are not sure which end of the season this will affect, but will certainly be following the decisions as they are made.

Keep in mind that all of the above information is going to be presented by the New England Fishery Management Council to National Marine Fisheries Services and the final decision will be up to them.
